RBC is looking for enthusiastic volunteer stewards for this year's to help welcome visitors and manage the visitor flow at this year's Reading Water Fest. You may be assigned to a particular activity, such as a workshop, or to a specific zone.
Breaks will be provided during the shift, and the RBC Events Team are providing some light snacks such as cans of drink and bags of crisps.
This role will suit you if you are:
- 16 years old or over
- Someone who enjoys variety – the day will involve a variety of tasks and activities
- Able to work as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, outgoing and polite engaging with a friendly and diverse audience
- Self-motivated and pro-active
- Have good communication skills
- Ideally you will already have some experience in a people-facing role
Shinfield Players Theatre is looking for someone to join the senior youth group leadership team. The group is for young people aged 14 to 18 and performs two shows a year - a review in December and a full play or musical in July. SPT's leaders are all volunteers and are required to have an enhanced DBS and chaperone licence which can be arranged through the theatre. If you have a passion for theatre and would like to get involved in inspiring the actors of tomorrow, please get in touch.
Reading Comic Con returns on 14 June and they need volunteers to help with the smooth running of the event. There's a variety of different roles available, and as a Creed Conventions volunteer, you'll get to be part of a large, friendly community of people who share a passion for all things SCI-FI. They offer reimbursement of incidental expenses, and meals whilst you are volunteering.

ReadEasy do great work helping adults learn to read. Could you support local people to learn to read by using your skills, or developing your skills, as a: Publicity Organiser, Referrals Networker, Volunteer Recruiter, Fundraiser or as an Administrator? If so they would love to hear from you
The Welcome to Reading Ambassadors at Reading Station are looking for like-minded people to join them to help welcome visitors to Reading. Launched last July, the volunteer-led scheme provides a friendly welcome to visitors arriving by train and helps them with their onward journeys in Reading with local information and directions.

School governors are the unsung heroes of our education system. They are one of the biggest volunteer forces in the country, working in their spare time to promote school improvement and to support headteachers and teachers in their work.
