We'll gather up all the open audition info we can from local theatres and other performing troupes in Reading and share them on this page. And maybe you'll get your shot in the spotlight!

Junior Ensemble Auditions - Beauty and the Beast Panto

YOUNG DANCERS WANTED TO SHINE IN BEAUTY AND THE BEAST AT THE HEXAGON THIS CHRISTMAS.

Junior Ensemble Auditions (Sun 22 June 2025) for The Hexagon's spectacular Beauty and the Beast Pantomime (6 Dec 2025 - 4 Jan 2026), starring Justin Fletcher & Paul Morse.

Please note the auditions are for dance and performance only. The children will not be asked to sing.
Registration will take place from 9.30am – 10am in The Hexagon foyer.

We are looking for 3 teams of 8 members to perform in the show and additional reserve team members. The teams will rotate the performances between them but all teams will need to attend every rehearsal.
Throughout the day, the audition panel will be looking for able performers who show capability in terms of dance as well as performance ability, enthusiasm and the ability to follow instructions.

The Bard’s bloodiest play is about to get bloodier. Full of fury and taking inspiration from the 80s slasher genre, this will be Shakespeare embracing the Revenge play ethos and combining it with classic horror. Join us this Halloween for an unholy Feast of a production!

Audition Dates: Sunday 22 June at 2.30pm & Wednesday 25 June at 7.30pm, at Progress Theatre.
Performance Dates: Monday 27 October-Saturday 1 November, (inc. Saturday matinee.)

Audition Dates: Thursday 26 June at 7pm & Sunday 29 June at 2pm, at Progress Theatre.
Performance Dates: 24-29 November 2025
