Reading Phoenix Choir

Reading Phoenix Choir has been in existence for over 55 years. In that time, the choir has gained a reputation for being one of the UK’s leading amateur choirs, singing mainly a cappella choral music to a high standard. Its performances include ancient and modern choral pieces, embracing both sacred and popular styles.

Each year, the choir can be heard at a number of venues in, around and outside of Reading, usually at concerts to raise funds for local charities and good causes. You are encouraged to come to concerts to hear the choir sing and help support these worthy causes.

The choir is led by Christopher Hann, who, in addition to being the Musical Director, is also an ensemble tutor at the Royal Academy of Music, and assistant conductor for The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.
