Friends of Caversham Court Gardens

The Friends of Caversham Court Gardens is a community organisation which helps Reading Borough Council achieve its aims for Caversham Court as a historic garden by encouraging public interest and involvement. We seek to preserve the peaceful character of the Gardens and to protect its fabric, its plants and its wildlife for all to enjoy.

The beautiful and historic Caversham Court Gardens sit on the bank of the River Thames, owned and cared for by Reading Borough Council with support from The Friends. Open and accessible to all every day except Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to dusk. Free entry, with a Tea Kiosk open in the summer months.

The gardens won the prestigious Green Flag Award, as well as a Green Heritage Site award again in 2019. The Green Flag singles out parks that are clean, well run, and welcoming, and the Green Heritage Site accreditation shows the history of the site is valued and conserved, and that people are helped to appreciate it.
