Haydn's Creation
Bracknell Choral Society with Reading Festival Chorus
Bracknell Choral Society and Reading Festival Chorus are delighted to announce our joint performance of Haydn's Creation.
The Creation was written between 1797 and 1798 and considered by many to be one of his masterpieces. It was inspired by performances he of Handel's work when visiting England several years earlier, and depicts and celebrates the creation of the world as described in the Book of Genesis.
The choirs are directed by Greg Hallam and accompanied by the British Sinfonietta. Soloists are soprano Emily Vine, tenor Graham Neal and bass Frederick Long.
