Raze the Roof - Music For Charity
Raze the Roof is the brilliant coming together of the Reading music community to raise essential funds for the Royal Berkshire Charity, specifically to benefit the Berkshire Cancer Centre.
Our target is £50k.
The program was initiated by me, Mike Bostock, Dream Sellers member and recent cancer survivor, all thanks to a dedicated Royal Berkshire Hospital oncologist and surgery team. I was then joined by a team of musicians, venue owners, members of the Reading business community, Reading Borough Council and Reading University. In addition, the local media including BRadio and the Reading Chronicle are all working to get the word out there.
Every donation we receive goes directly towards supporting vital research, treatment and care for cancer patients in our community. By joining us as a performer, helper or audience member, you’re not just contributing financially, but you’re also offering hope and comfort to those battling cancer.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by this disease, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support during their journey towards healing and recovery.
There are many distinct and proud cultures within Reading and we hope to showcase the music of as many of these as we can.
There is still plenty of time for you apply to play and we will try our best to fit you in. Just CLICK HERE to apply.
We really appreciate your support and so will the many many cancer sufferers treated by the nurses, specialist nurses, oncologists and consultant surgeons at RBH; we owe them a great debt. Our contributions, whatever the amount turns out to be, will go a little way to thanking them and showing our appreciation.
