BBC Introducing Live ft. Deva St. John, Rila's Edge & Elucidate
BBC INTRODUCING & RUSU EVENTS are teaming up to bring live music to your students' union!
Head down to Mojos on on Tuesday 18th April for some sweet live music!
Check out the artists that will be performing live:
- Deva St. John
- Rila's Edge
- Elucidate
Alex West and Nicky Booty from BBC Introducing Berkshire highlight upcoming local artists, giving you the chance to see the hottest new music in Berkshire, at your students union!
Opening the show are Elucidate - a female-fronted four-piece who meld punk, pop and garage rock to create a unique sound. Their live set has evolved post-lockdown to pair boatloads of aesthetic edge with an intimacy rarely found in artists in their genre.
Next up, Rila's Edge, an indie rock group who have sold-out shows across the South East including at The Camden Assembly, Tooting Tram and Social, and The Boileroom in Guildford. With guidance from a number of mentors including former ‘Prodigy’ member Keiron Pepper, they are constantly improving, and frontman Alfie's emotional vocals matched with a Catfish And The Bottlemen-esque guitar-driven sound make them a must see live act.
Finally, Deva St. John, our Artist In Residence for April 2023, takes to the stage. Since her debut in 2018, the Brixton-born, Berkshire-raised artist has had national airplay on the likes of Radio 1 as well as support across the UK and has created a signature sound that appeals to multiple genres, from classic rock to pop-punk. With influence from Paramore, Alanis Morissette, and Beck, Deva's live set is not one to miss out on.
