Watkins Brass
For aspiring young brass players

The purpose of Watkins Brass is to promote and support brass band music education and music making opportunities for primary school children in Reading, Berkshire and the surrounding area.
Membership is open to children aged 7 to 11 who receive brass instrumental lessons. Ideally, they will have achieved their Grade 1 and are progressing towards their Grade 2, 3 and 4 brass music exams (ABRSM or Trinity).
Rehearsals are held weekly on a Thursday evening at 6pm to 6.40pm during the school term.
Watkins Brass is a positive, safe space for young people to aspire to the highest standards of brass music making.
As such, all our tutors have DBS clearance and are provided with training on safeguarding and child protection issues.
There is a membership fee of £50 per school term which is payable in advance.
