Spring Concert
Spring is on the horizon and with it comes Woodley Concert Band's first concert in this, our 50th anniversary year! We’re delighted to invite you to join us for an evening of music and entertainment!
Normally our concerts feature music that follows a theme – for example, our last concert was full of music from different time periods, and we often perform concerts of British music or movie themes and musicals. This time we’ve given our musical director a completely blank canvas to create a concert featuring the very best of different music styles and genres; this feels like a good way to begin our golden anniversary celebrations.
To give you an idea of what to expect, you’ll hear Bernstein’s epic Overture to Candide, a medley of James Bond music, highlights from Disney and some uplifting original wind band music from Philip Sparke. Whatever your taste, there will be plenty to enjoy!

If you’ve never been to a WCB concert before, we’d be delighted to offer you a FREE ticket to our concert under our First Timers scheme. We’re passionate about our music-making and we believe that if you come along to enjoy one of our performances, you’ll get as excited as we are and hopefully come back to see future concerts (we’ve got some great music coming up this year!)
