Reading's lost railway

Saturday 30th March - 11am

The Coley branch line, also known as the Coley goods branch, was a single-track branch railway running from the Reading to Basingstoke line at Coley Branch Junction to Reading Central goods depot.

The railway was built by the Great Western Railway and opened in 1908 and closed in 1983. This walk starts at the junction with the main line and follows the still intact embankment and track bed to the A33 and will finish on the site of the now closed Central Goods Depot close to the Oracle.

Come along and hear about the history of the line.
