Jazz Masterclass with Pete Long
A masterclass exploring the skills and virtues of the jazz ensemble featuring headliner Pete Long.
A graduate of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Pete Long is a virtuoso clarinettist and saxophonist. Find out more about him on his website
Musicians wishing to actively participate in the masterclass session will need to sign up in advance, giving an outline of their focus. This might be a small jazz group that want to work on their ensemble work or a soloist wishing to work on their improvisation technique. Participation as a masterclass student is limited to UoR Music members.
The masterclass day will round up with a pro gig and open jam session in the evening.
This masterclass is open for everyone to attend, including the public. Anyone with an interest in jazz, whether playing or listening, will get value from this session.
