Childrens Winter Lecture 2024: Imagining the Imaginary with A.F.Harrold
Suitable for Children 7-12 Years
Have you ever met someone who went to the University of Reading in a previous century?
Clever people like our former student Ashley F. Harrold worked as a bookseller after graduating and went on to host, compere and perform at events across Reading on his journey to becoming a children’s author and poet, writing books like the Fizzlebert Stump series of circus-based comedies, the dark Stranger Thing[1]ish novels The Song from Somewhere Else and The Worlds We Leave Behind.
Join us for this year’s Children’s Winter Lecture to meet Ashley in person, who will use fun activities to give insight into two of his favourites: ‘The Imaginary’ and ‘The Book of Not Entirely Useful Advice’ and prove how he can make poets out of all of us!
