Caribbean Storytelling - family session with Marva Carty

In celebration of African Caribbean culture, we'll be hosting a family storytelling session with local writer & storyteller Marva Carty.
Marva will be reading from her book, 'Mari Loves Mangoes', plus an intro on Caribbean influence on Black British life in the UK.
Come and enjoy an evocative story session with reflections on the past, examples of the Caribbean impact on the UK and making a new home in a new place.
This session is aimed at accompanied children aged 4 years to 7 years old.

About Marva:
Marva Carty is the author of "Mari Loves Mangoes", and “Mari Loves Reading” and the CEO of MangoLime Publishing.
Born in England, she spent her childhood on the island of Trinidad and then migrated to the US on a scholarship to Williams College where she studied English Literature.
After stints in the Williams College Admissions Office and the Anguilla Tourist Board, she returned to England where her career spanned marketing, hospitality, children's toys, executive support, communications and FMCG.
