Here Comes The Sun Festival 2023

The biggest house party of the summer is back for 2023!

The Rising Sun Arts Centre will once again open all conceivable doors to bring you this year's Here Comes The Sun, our annual one-day festival of music and arts. The centre will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of all the things the Centre and its volunteers hold dear. Bunting, fake grass, lots of colour and a glorious programme of arts all over the building!

As usual, expect lots of live entertainment outside and inside, with performances across three stages - and a few other ideas up our sleeve! Plus plenty of the food, drink and kids activities you’ve come to expect from Here Comes The Sun.

Acts confirmed for 2023:

  • Reading’s own Empress Of The Blues, Ma Bessie and Her Pig Foot Band!
  • Alt synth-poppers No Feathers!
  • Wolfnote will bring their personal brand of modern, original folk!
  • Steve Daniels will bring his “stories and catchy tunes”!
  • The Zap! Comedy troupe will bring us another hilarious sketch, along with music from Lewaze!
  • A showcase from the regulars from the monthly Dreading Slam poetry nights!

As always, Here Comes The Sun is our biggest fundraising event of the year – and you know that all the money from the festival will be going back into the Centre so we can continue to offer a creative haven for artists, audiences and groups of all shapes and sizes.
