This summer, Readipop takes over The Oracle for two weeks of creativity, culture and connection. From 5-16 August, Riverbeats will transform the town centre into a vibrant, hub of live music, hands-on workshops, roaming theatre and feel-good fun for all.
With over 40 free sessions including samba parades, sustainable printing, badge-making and more, get ready to experience Reading in a whole new way.
Make, Play, Explore
Little ones (and big kids!) can explore their musical side with junk percussion, ukulele sessions, or the ever-popular Family Jam from Readipop.
Get creative with Jelly’s drop-in and bookable workshops, including badge-making, paper flag art, mask decorating and sustainable printing. And for a truly magical moment, visit the Fables Expansion Tank - a giant, participatory sculpture made from reclaimed materials and imagination by Annual Daydream Harvest.
All workshops are free, but you must book your place in advance.
Live Music All-Dayer Finale
On Saturday 16 August, RISER, in association with BBC Introducing Oxfordshire & Berkshire, presents a showcase of local live music talent, not to be missed. In addition, Readipop Festival presents two of their best-received previous performers. Expect showstopping performances from the likes of:

- The Skangsters - Reading’s beloved ska nine-piece
- Rising stars Girl Like That, Petrea, The Kokroachez, Finessa & Shy Zero, Neon Bloom, Ailsa Scott & Kah’Nya curated by RISER and BBC Introducing Oxfordshire & Berkshire
It’s a true celebration of local talent with national potential, all set on our riverside stage.
Free, but please book your ticket in advance.
