University of Reading Community Festival 2024

Sat 18 May, 11:00-17:00

Returning by popular demand, the University of Reading presents a FREE start-of-summer celebration for the whole local community.

Join staff and students on Reading’s award-winning parkland campus for a one-day festival packed with live music, hands-on workshops and fabulous activities for the whole family.

  • Two outdoor stages of live music and performance
  • Research zone with talks, workshops and hands-on activities
  • Sport and wellbeing taster sessions
  • Bars and street food stalls

From 11am-5pm you can discover more about the people and places that make up the University, from the museums and researchers to the students’ union, or take a walk around the Harris Gardens and Whiteknights lake and enjoy the huge array of attractions for all ages, with a drink and bite to eat.

With more street food stands and bars open all day, it will be the perfect chance to get families and friends together and celebrate what’s great about your local University and town.

Full line-up, information and details about free bus services to the festival will be released in April. Pre-booking is advised.
