40th Anniversary of u3a at Lower Earley Library

Reading u3a are celebrating at Lower Earley Library

Mon 3 Oct, 10:00-12:00 & 14:00-16:00

Rescheduled from 19 September

The u3a movement in Britain is 40 years old this month and Reading u3a are celebrating. u3a is a UK-wide collection of charities providing activities for retired people to come together and learn for fun, and Reading u3a has members across Reading and beyond.

There are interest groups for everyone who has retired, and the celebration will showcase the mental and physical benefits of becoming a member of Reading u3a. Groups include Languages, Current Affairs, Seated Exercise, Town Study, Chess, Play Reading, Science and Technology, Theatre and lots more, all contributing to  u3a’s motto of ‘learn, laugh, live’.

At Lower Earley Library we will showcase our Amblers, Town Study, Birdwatching, Photography, German, Italian, Current Affairs and Art groups and there will be a demonstration by our Tai Chi group at around 10.30.

Everyone is invited to drop in to find out more about the benefits of being part of u3a.
