KALAKUNJ presents NRITYA UTSAVAM
A celebration of Indian classical dance and heritage.
The award-winning, dynamic performing arts group, Kalakunj is delighted to invite you to the annual celebration of South Asian arts and heritage, NRITYA UTSAVAM 2024.
The evening will feature a dance interpretation of the great Sanskrit poet Kalidasa’s lyrical poem, MEGHADOOTAM, by senior students of Kalakunj.
Athira Vijayakumar, trained under Guru Bharati Shivaji, will perform Mohiniattam, a graceful, rhythmic and feminine dance form originating in the Southern Indian state of Kerala.
