Celebrate World Book Day with Broad Street Mall!
Exciting news! To celebrate World Book Day, the Nation’s favourite marmalade-loving bear, Paddington™, is coming on an adventure to Broad Street Mall on Saturday 9th March. Families can come along to meet Paddington™ in Central Square at intervals between 11am-3:30pm. The appearances will run on a first come, first served basis so please be mindful of others whilst queuing.
You are also invited to take part in a FREE Paddington-themed craft workshop in Central Square throughout the day. There is no need to book, just turn up.
Join Jelly artists to create a wearable piece of art (a hat) highlighting the spirit of dressing up on World Book Day. The hat will be based on Paddington’s that he wore on his travels from Darkest Peru and a place where he kept his favourite marmalade sandwiches. Make and decorate a paper hat with stories of travels and your favourite things.
Suitable for all ages.
