WASMA (Wokingham Area School Music Association) will return to The Hexagon again on Sunday 12 March and Sunday 19 March 2023 for ‘Happy and Glorious’, a show loosely based around the life of Queen Elizabeth 2, featuring songs from each decade of her life.
As usual, the WASMA performances will focus on the fun of singing together in a large choir, but will also feature drama, poetry and dance.
The two productions will provide an opportunity for a total of 760 children from 29 Wokingham primary schools to experience performing in a professional theatre – something that the children will remember for many years to come.
WASMA, now in its 76th year, has grown from a handful of schools in Wokingham Town to an organisation providing opportunities for primary schools across the whole of Wokingham Borough.
