Schism Reading x BEAT:CANCER
This December we're doing something a little bit different. With BEAT:CANCER descending upon The Face Bar on the 7th for their own event alongside Church of Madness, we have decided to team up and make a full weekend of it, by creating something of a mini winter music festival starting with SCHISM & BEAT:CANCER on Friday the 6th of December.
What you can expect is your mostly traditional Schism night, but with an added twist. As a treat, Beat:Cancer founder and the Kark half of Karkasaurus, will be doing a one-off special rock DJ set.
Kark is a traditional Industrial, Hardstyle, Hardcore, Techno and Metal DJ. He has filled dance floors at events across the UK; notably including Infest Festival (Bradford), Slimelight (London), Ravelogic (Northampton) and Resistanz Festival (Sheffield). Alongside these guest slots he holds residencies at Cosmic Hard Dance (London), Khronology (Bristol), Hardcore London and Beat:Cancer. He’s played on lineups with top Djs such as Scott Brown, Darren Styles, Lab4, Organ Donors, Rob Da Rhythm, DJ Seduction, L8N, Jester & Johl, Chemical6, Virul3nt, Mark Breeze & Dark By Design! But now, he finally gets to cut his teeth at Schism Rock Club, and given what we know of our time on the dancefloor to his sets, you can expect something a little bit different...
As this is a Beat:Cancer event, we will be raising money for a worthy cause. On the night you will be given an opprtunity to enter a fundraising prize raffle, with all contributions going to the Beat:Cancer charity to help fight cancer through funding research, treatment, screening and care. There will be many prizes available including the chance to win FREE ENTRY to all future Schism events for life!
