The Plenty name will be familiar to many people living in Berkshire. It has been associated with engineering in the town of Newbury for over 200 years, with products ranging from ploughs to steam engines.
This talk will chart the development of the family company, looking at the characters involved and how they shaped the direction of the business. It will also give a glimpse of the workers during the Victorian period and find out what it was like to work in the Plenty factory.
Pre-booking is required, because the event link will be sent in advance.
