Broad Street Mall is inviting the local community to celebrate together as Broad Street Beats returns with a special Green Week edition on Saturday 6th June, from 11am – 3pm.

Live Music to Set the Mood

We’re teaming up with The Rhoom Studios to showcase local talent, bring soulful tunes to the heart of Reading with live music throughout the day:

  • Simon Williams
  • Countryboy Lee
  • Purple Roots
  • Graham Hornby

Get crafty

Alongside our music showcase, families can enjoy family crafting at our FREE workshop, which will run throughout the day. Visitors can decorate pebbles with their own beautiful designs to keep as a special memento of their visit. Sessions will operate on a first-come-first-served basis – no need to prebook.

Meet Topsy our legendary mascot

Our beloved mascot Topsy will be back, making appearances throughout the day, handing out sweets, hugs, and posing for photos with delighted visitors of all ages.

Supporting a national initiative

This Green Week edition of Broad Street Beats will provide a platform for local artists to share their music but also talk about eco-conscious choices and living sustainability in the modern world. Families will be able to take part in their make-and-take workshops that will run throughout the day on a first-come-first-served basis.

Supporting Every Little Thing Festival

Broad Street Mall is also proud to continue supporting Every Little Thing Festival, created in memory of Diva. The festival shines a light on mental health, wellness and suicide prevention, offering hope and support to those who need it most. The team will be attending this next Broad Street Beats event to share their powerful message with the community.

Community Spirit

The Broad Street Beats event series continues to help embed Broad Street Mall as a true community hub, bringing people together through the power of music whilst also raising awareness of important topics that are often not spoken about openly.
