GLOW Lantern Parade 2023

Bring your loved ones together for a magical winter lantern procession on Saturday 2nd December as Reading's Lantern Parade returns for Christmas 2023. Walk together in candlelight and follow the drummers to Forbury Gardens for a magical sing-a-long. A heart-warming celebration of the festive season filled with lights, music and community spirit.

In the run up to the event, lantern-making workshops will once again be held across Reading so that everybody has the opportunity to come along and make their own beautiful willow and paper lantern for the procession. Each lantern workshop will be supported by professional artists who will show you how to make your lantern and where to come on the day of the procession.
