Wild About Reading aims to celebrate the people, groups and organisations that conserve, preserve and showcase our green heritage for the benefit of the whole community. It takes place at a range of indoor and outdoor locations across the area and aims to provide local people with interesting, locally accessible and free events every day of the event.
Come and find out about the different plants and animals in your local green space. Discover how local groups and organisations are making a difference to people of all ages and also protecting our beautiful green spaces for generations to come. Learn new skills or rediscover some old ones.
This year's events and activities include everything from a 5:30am Dawn Chorus Walk to night-time Bat Walks, from learning gardening tips to finding out about the latest wind turbine technology. Wild About Reading 2021 has something for everyone.
