First Days Colour Fest 2025

New Date: 8 Jun, 15:00

IMPORTANT COLOUR FEST NEWS

Due to the unsafe weather conditions, with a yellow weather warning in place which prevents us from putting on the event, we are MOVING Colour Fest to SUNDAY 8th JUNE (one day later). It will still be at Prospect Park in Reading, at the same time (3pm-8pm), and thanks to all of our wonderful vendors, supporters and volunteers we are able to offer the same activities - only with hopefully clearer skies!

If you have bought tickets for this event please check your email for more information.

If you can now make it on the Sunday 8th, we have tickets available to buy online and will have a limited amount to buy on the day too.

A Colour Run with a difference, a "Colour Fest".

We're so excited to bring our popular Colour Run back to Prospect Park for the 4th year and this year it is going to be bigger and better. Our tried and tested 2.5km course with 4 paint stations can be tackled once or twice without any rush in the world. Afterwards, join us for some Festival Fun with SO many attractions to choose from including:

  • Reading's largest pink ball pit
  • Our multi-colour obstacle course
  • Paint throwing area
  • Silent Disco
  • Soft Play area
  • Face painting
  • Glitter tattoos
  • Onsite bar
  • Nerf Gun battle area
  • Magician
  • BBQ
  • Ice Cream
  • Live Music

All entries include:

  • An branded white event unisex tshirt
  • A bespoke event medal for completing the run

COSTS - YOU CHOOSE:

Based on the current cost of living, we fully appreciate just how challenging it is to make finances balance at the moment. With this in mind, and wanting to make the event accessible to as many people as possible, we have a tiered pricing option.

About First Days

First Days was started in 2013 in response to needs in the local community in Berkshire. Quite simply:  there were people with stuff they didn't need and people who desperately needed it. As the need in our community has grown, so has the charity. We support parents by giving them emotional, peer and specialist support and ensuring that their children have all the essential items they need to be safe at home, confident at school and have fun.

Our aim for the charity is very clear: we want to close our doors because no one needs our service anymore.

However, with 4.5 million children living in poverty in the UK we actually need to do the opposite - we need to continue to work hard and grow to meet the needs in our community.
