Cemetery Junction by candlelight

Tours at 9 and 10pm on Saturday 7 September

For this year's Heritage Open Day, JAHA invite you to step through the Arch and experience Reading Old Cemetery in a different light.

Images of Cemetery Junction through the ages will be projected onto the Arch itself. At 9 and 10pm there will be guided walks around the cemetery. The focus will be on experiencing the cemetery by night and appreciating the monuments in the flickering light of candles, creating a tangible sense of connection with the past.

Each group can include a maximum of 15 people, and candles and lanterns will be provided.

JAHA has developed this event in collaboration with Liz Tait of Cemetery Junction War Graves, historic lighting collector and researcher John Holden (@TheArcLampMan) and AV Events.
