Reading Buses Open Day 2026
We’re excited to announce that our open day will be returning once again for 2026!
Taking place on Sunday 28 June at our Great Knollys Street depot; the open day is free to attend and promises to be a great day out for everyone.
Our 2026 open day will be helping to raise funds for our Charity of the Year, Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs.
As in previous years, our open day will include a wide range of stalls, activities, food and behind-the-scenes tours around our depot.
We'll have tours including open-top bus tours, workshop tours, engineering tours, children's games and activities, bus memorabilia and merchandise, your chance to get your name (or special message) on the front of a bus, a chance to ride through the bus wash and more.
There will also be a free shuttle bus running between the town and the depot on the day to help you get here - a timetable for this will be posted on our website nearer the event.
As always, the event is staffed exclusively by volunteers and all the profits from the day will go to Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs.
What to expect

As usual, we'll have a large selection of food for you to enjoy during your visit, including:

- Curry plus samosas and onion bhajis

Free shuttle bus between Reading town centre and the depot
To help you get here, we'll be running our usual free shuttle bus between the depot and Reading town centre. Stops and times for this will be announced here shortly.
