RASPO Showcase returns for the annual celebration of the steel pan with a cultural evening of live music and guest artists.

Reading All Steel Percussion Orchestra, named in honour of Trinidad All Steel Percussion Orchestra, started in 1997 at the Central Club known for its iconic Black History Mural.

TASPO was the first steel band to perform live in the UK at the South Bank’s 1951 Festival of Britain.

The award winning steel band now performs regularly at the London Notting Hill Carnival with prestigious performances at the London 2012 Olympics, The Royal Albert Hall and for BBC’s Blue Peter, Children in Need, and Sports Personality of the Year.

Now one of the UK’s leading steel bands RASPO introduces thousands of children and young people to the joy of playing in an orchestra and provides steel bands for a range of events.

Join RASPO at the CultureMix Arts & Music Centre to celebrate the magic of live steel pan music.
