Music For M(i)NDs - The Arboretum plus Swallow

A charity gig in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association, Music for M(i)NDs.

Keysight Technologies and State of Flux present:- The Arboretum with support from Swallow, to raise money to help fund research, improve care and provide support for people with MND, their families and carers.

One of Keysight's core values is called "Our People". It encompasses the company's effort to try to support its employees, in and out of work in every way possible, and produce a great, diverse, inclusive work environment.

We at Keysight felt the need to try and raise funds for MNDA, due to one of our longstanding recently retired employees, David Mangan, unfortunately having been diagnosed with the condition.

We wish to raise awareness of the condition and provide support to David and others like him, and also to use our reach as a company for good.

The Arboretum

With intense, original genre-defining music, The Arboretum combine stunning visuals with a rich cinematic Post-Rock/Post-Punk sound. Where Electronica combines with powerful rhythmic themes, shimmering guitars, dirty bass lines and expansive vocals. The Arboretum continue to explore the narrative in their music by developing their lyrical layers that build on themes of hope in these uncertain, dark and challenging times.

Swallow

Formed in 2002 and based in Reading, Berkshire, classic rock covers band Swallow started life as the brainchild of vocalist Jane 'Jetblack' Setter and bass player Diane 'Mistress Mercy' Fox. Old schoolfriends and best mates, Jane and Di had only had fleeting chances to play together (including gecko hunting in Thailand, carousing in Hong Kong and numerous parties in Thanet - centre of the universe!) until Jane moved to Reading. Guitarist Nick Martin and drummer Adrian Ogden joined us, with occasional appearances from Moray Macdonald ... and Swallow is the result.
