Reading International Solidarity Centre (RISC) is a global education charity close to the heart of Reading's town centre. We work with schools and community groups to raise the profile of global issues and promote action for sustainability, human rights and social justice.

We organise a variety of events and exhibitions on global issues to increase public understanding of the economic, political social and environmental forces, which shape all our lives. We create a platform of speakers from the Majority World (Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America), organise workshops, feasts, films and meetings. We also host open days for our permaculture roof garden.
