Reading Reggae Collective presents The History of Reggae

A live music show at The Purple Turtle Bar

From 1960's to the present day the singers and players of the Reading Reggae Collective will take you on the journey of reggae music.

The Reggae Collective will be performing old school favourites from the likes of Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, Janet Kay, Dawn Penn and Chronixx. The show also features a seasoning of original material from singer and songwriter Jnr Watson, Indra and ska and reggae artist Alpheus who will also be the MC for the night. 

Grammy Award winning producer Don Chandler is the musical director ensuring well crafted renditions from singers like Lea Kidd and Yvonne Anson along. On guitars are Derick Andrews and Reality Shock record producer Kris Kemist. Drums and keyboards is courtesy of L2R's Jamah and Jajiii.
