On The Mount At Wasing: Belle & Sebastian

with Saint Etienne

On The Mount at Wasing - one of the UK’s most distinctive concert series, set within a spectacular woodland amphitheatre in Berkshire - returns for 2026, unfolding on the breathtaking Wasing Estate near Reading. At the heart of the countryside lies The Mount - a natural enclave unlike any other.

From the enchanting woodland trail that welcomes guests, to the wildflowers that bloom across the amphitheatre, every detail of this mindful space creates a truly transportive setting. It is here, immersed in nature, that audiences experience landmark performances from world-class artists. Set against the backdrop of one of the UK’s most unique and stunning outdoor venues, The Mount delivers a diverse programme rooted in music, nature, and connection.

Headlining on Sunday 28 June, Belle & Sebastian will perform their iconic album ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ in full, as well as a second set of favourites. They’ll also be joined by very special guests, Saint Etienne.

Belle & Sebastian released their second album ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ in 1996, and the album has long-since attained mythic status – a “greatest of all time” list fixture with songs including favourites such as Get Me Away from Here, I’m Dying, and The Fox in the Snow that have spent decades populating mixtapes and playlists. Following up their debut ‘Tigermilk’, ‘IfYou’re Feeling Sinister’ cemented Belle & Sebastian ascritical and cult favourites, whilst delivering them to a wider audience worldwide. Recently, Pitchfork re-reviewed the album, giving it a rare top score of 10.0 and commenting: “If You’re Feeling Sinister launched the band into a rarified air from which it would not soon descend. Thirty years later, the group has evolved into the very sort of communal institution and devoted cult that [lead singer Stuart] Murdoch dared dream into reality”.

Very special guests for the show Saint Etienne are one of the UK’s most treasured pop groups, known for their songs like Only Love Can Break Your Heart, Nothing Can Stop Us, and You’re in a Bad Way. Following the success oftheir most recent album ‘International’ released last year, the band announced their farewell tour for September 2026.
