Creative Connection - Celebrating Black Filmmakers

A warm welcome from Through A Different Lens - we can't wait to host you.

For the second year running, we'll be hosting an evening dedicated to filmmaking telling stories from the black community. We want to be part of the changing face of who makes film and who gets to make stories so we are thrilled to showcase film from our founders cultural hertiage. It's our regular meet up for filmmakers and creatives to watch films, meet like minds and develop new collaboration.

The event is supported by The University of Reading

We'll be screening:

The Nod : Tell Me You Got Me - part of the Black Britain Unspoken, directed by Richard Ampeh

Mas Resistance - directed by Alex Urquhart, produced by Valentina Kuplinova and executive produced by Symone Williams

As always, we want to help Reading + Berkshire based creative people to hear about projects, find collaborators and enjoy the work from artists. At Through A Different Lens we love film, but we know there are so many creative people in the area who love catching up and making new connections - so whether you are a writer, filmmaker, print maker, painter, designer, musician + more..... come along and grow your connections. We'll be showing a few short films with plenty of time to mingle in the foyer afterwards.

All income goes into keeping this event running - join us to grow your network, see films and connect with like-minded creatives.
