He has written songs for major artists such as Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, created music for films such as American Pie, and toured with legends like Robert Plant & Allison Krauss and The Who. Sax has released 10 solo albums and collaborated with producer Don Was. As a filmmaker, he directed the documentary Platinum Rush and music videos, including one for Lucinda Williams.
