Its 1947 and a town banquet is planned in honour of the forthcoming marriage of Princess Elizabeth and Phillip her groom. But Britain is still in rationing and raising an unlicensed pig is unlawful so the Town Council set out to secretly raise ‘Betty’. Based on a play by Alan Bennett, Betty Blue Eyes tells the story of how someone who is not invited to the feast takes matters into their own hands and steals the pig.
This fabulous musical ran on the West End in 2015 and has some great musical highs and a wonderful story.
