For The Crown: Chess & Chat

For the Crown: Chess & Chat is a relaxed weekly social chess night bringing people together through strategy, community and conversation. 

Join us every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Siren Craft Brew, 1 Friars Walk, Reading, RG1 1HP, just a short walk from Reading Station. The evening is open to everyone, whether you are a complete beginner learning how the pieces move, a casual player looking for a friendly game, someone returning to chess after years away, or a more experienced player looking for a new challenge. There is no pressure to be an expert and no need to come with a partner — simply come along, take a seat, meet new people and make your move. The focus is just as much on conversation, connection and enjoying the atmosphere as it is on winning. All ages, genders and abilities are welcome, and entry is free.
