We look forward to seeing you there.

We're raising funds to support the Stroke Unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital by refurbishing the conservatory in the Acute Stroke Unit. The aim is to transform it into a calm, therapeutic space that enhances patient recovery and rehabilitation.

The renovated space will be used for therapy sessions, rehabilitation activities, and family visits—creating a bright and welcoming environment that reduces anxiety and boosts emotional wellbeing. Natural light and communal areas play a key role in encouraging patient engagement and supporting social interaction, all of which are vital to the recovery journey.

We’re aiming to raise around £12,000 to cover the cost of painting, lighting, dementia-friendly anti-slip flooring, comfortable furniture, and a TV—everything needed to create a safe, supportive, and uplifting space.

People support their local hospital for many different reasons. Whatever your reason, we want you to know that supporting the Royal Berks Charity will help make a significant difference to the care and experience people from our local communities receive while that are with us; a difference that will continue for years into the future.
