Heritage Open Days 2026: Royal Berkshire Hospital Medical Museum

The museum's collection includes many items relating to the history of the Royal Berkshire Hospital, opened in 1839, and of medicine, surgery and nursing in general. As well as providing a consistently high standard of health care the the local community for the last 187 years, the hospital has made a number of important contributions to the development of clinical practice in general. We have a range of publications, written by members of our team, available to buy for modest prices.
