Sanctuary & Solidarity: a concert giving voice to hope

Join us for this special fundraising concert at Reading Minster on Saturday 25 April. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Reading's Refugee Support Group.

Experience heartfelt choral music by composers including Caroline Shaw and Thomas Tallis performed by acclaimed vocal collective SANSARA, led by Artistic Director Tom Herring.

Reading’s Ukrainian choir Kryla will also sing, including joining forces with SANSARA to perform Natalia Tsupryk’s A Quiet Night – Tyhoyi Nochi. Commissioned in response to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, A Quiet Night has since been performed by choirs around the world, connecting people in musical acts of solidarity with those displaced by conflict.

This special evening of solidarity and song includes a guest performance by award-winning soprano Ruby Hughes of Errolyn Wallen’s Peace on Earth, adding her voice to this powerful programme of reflection and hope.

We will also hear from representatives from Reading's Refugee Support Group, providing an opportunity to learn about the charity’s work in the community.
