We are sooooo excited about celebrating PRIDE with you all that we've decided to host a whole week of events - both here at The Grumpy Goat and with our buds at Phantom Brewing Co, who we've teamed up with again to brew our annual 'PARADE' IPA. First pours will be on Friday 1st September at 6pm at their Tapyard!
Weds 30 August, 7pm - Film Screening “Paris is Burning”
We’ll be watching 90’s classic Paris is Burning on the big projector screen in the bar. Paris Is Burning is a 1990 American documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston. Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it.
Thurs 31 August, 7pm - Band Night: Jemma Freeman and the Cosmic Something
Free gig with this wonderful band! Lush guitar tones and introspective psychedelic lyrics bound together with unbounded energy. Colliding themes of secret worlds, hidden agendas, apathy and anxiety, Jemma’s sonorous voice tells a story of unravelling completely and tying yourself back up again.
Fri 1 Sept, 6:30pm - "Parade" Launch at Phantom Brew Co.
First pour of this year's Parade IPA, plus Drag Bingo followed by a DJ set so be wearing your dancing shoes. Cost includes entry into all the bingo where there will be prizes galore.
Sat 2 Sept, 8pm - Reading Pride Karaoke Party!
Join us after the festival as we stay open late for our Karaoke Pride after party!
