On The Mount At Wasing 2024

Following on from a hugely successful first year, On The Mount At Wasing, the concert series set in a spectacular woodland amphitheatre in the gorgeous Berkshire countryside, has announced its first acts for 2024.

Australian rock icons Crowded House will kick off the shows on 17th June, Sophie Ellis-Bextor performs her biggest-ever headline show on 26th June, London electronic duo Jungle will perform with their explosive full live band on 27th June, and dance icons Underworld will headline on 29th June.

On The Mount At Wasing’s inaugural year in 2023 was a huge success, featuring shows from the likes of Gabriels, Jack Johnson, Sigur Ros and more.

Set on Wasing Estate, The Mount is a stunning enclave right in the heart of the countryside. From the woodland trail arrival into a unique & mindful space to the wildflowers awaiting concertgoers within the amphitheatre, this is a truly transportive venue to see defining live acts, fully immersed in nature.

Wasing Estate itself is heralded for the way it breaks the mould for country estates and this ethos is reflected in the concerts; Wasing hosts healing retreats enriched with nature immersion, wellbeing festivals, and restorative events with a focus on the connection between the planet and its people.

Crowded House

With a career that spans almost 40 years, Crowded House have enjoyed worldwide success. They have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and in 2016, the band was inducted into the ARIA – Australian Recording Industry Association – Hall of Fame.

Crowded House have also won several national and international awards including being named International Group of the Year at the BRIT Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor

It has been an incredible few years for Sophie Ellis-Bextor who has cemented herself as pop royalty having entertained the nation both through their screens and live in sold out venues up and down the country with her Kitchen Disco.

She has performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, released a top 10 album, and recently seen her song ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ experience an incredible resurgence around the world after featuring in the closing scene in the film, Saltburn.

Now, Sophie-Ellis Bextor will celebrate this extraordinary success with a huge summer party this year – her biggest ever headline show - when the concert series On The Mount at Wasing will become On The Dancefloor at Wasing for one night only! This will also be Sophie’s only UK headline set of 2024.

Jungle

Jungle are one of the hottest names to emerge in British electronic music for the past decade. The duo comprising of Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland were shortlisted for the 2014 Mercury Prize with their debut self-titled album.

Their fourth album ‘VOLCANO’ was released to critical acclaim earlier this year alongside a feature-length film of the same name. The single ‘Back on 74’ became a huge hit, going viral with over a billion views across TikTok and Instagram inspired by its dynamic music video that millions are recreating.

Underworld

Underworld are a true one-off , who are just as at home headlining the world’s biggest festivals and events, playing underground techno clubs and warehouses, sound-tracking theatre productions or taking over art galleries.

Having cemented their place in the ’90s underground techno scene, the group’s definitive breakthrough came in 1996 when their timeless anthem ‘Born Slippy (Nuxx)’ became the soundtrack of a generation after it was featured in the film Trainspotting. The success of that single catapulted the band from the underground into the heart of the mainstream. The following two decades saw them build on that success while never compromising; selling millions of albums, performing countless sold-out shows, providing scores to productions by Academy Award winning directors Anthony Minghella and Danny Boyle, exhibiting in galleries, and sound-tracking the Opening Ceremony to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
