DUCK RACE at The Oracle Riverside
Sat 9 Sep from 10am. Duck Race is at 3pm
The Rotary Club of Reading Abbey will be holding a Fund‑Raising Duck Race on the Kennet & Avon canal between Bridge Street and Yield Hall (through The Oracle Riverside area) at 3pm on Saturday 9th September. The event will be held to raise funds for local charities.
Ducks (or tickets!) are available online via readingduckrace.org, or directly from our stand at The Oracle (alongside the canal) on Saturdays 26th Aug and 2nd Sep, plus on‑the‑day on 9th Sep. Cash prizes of £300, £200 & £100!
The event is free to attend. Other fun stands will be there to amuse the kids, and to make a great day out at The Oracle Riverside.
How the race works:
- You “rent” ducks on this website or at the Rotary Club stall on the day (You do not get to keep your ducks, sorry!)
- Your duck has its personal, unique number
- All ducks are created equal and can swim…
- The race is run at 3pm on Saturday 9th September
- If your duck comes 1st, 2nd or 3rd we’ll contact you within 48 hours if not present on the day and award your prize
