Weekends in December

For the four weekends leading up to Christmas The Oracle will serve up an array of roaming entertainment, both inside and on The Riverside, delighting you all during the festive season.

Toy Soldiers: The comic Toy Soldiers combine slapstick comedy, carol singing and Christmas cheer in equal measures. Bringing the joy of the season, sprinkled with some festive silliness.

Titan: Titan’s show takes on a very Christmassy feel in the run up to Yuletide incorporating Titan’s very own Christmas songs, confetti canons, Christmas jokes and Titan even wears his own Santa’s hat! The show always seems to get everybody in the Christmas spirit and even Titan’s (normally grumpy) sidekick ‘Dave’ can be seen sporting a Christmas jumper.

Appearing on Sunday 1 December, Saturday 7 December and Saturday 21 December at 1pm and 3pm, on level 2 outside H&M

Granny Turismo: Mary, Marge and Doris love Christmas shopping and they love to get into the spirit of Christmas (and the sherry!) Their trolleys are bedecked with tinsel and lights, and they will be dancing to an array of seasonal tunes.

Spark! - Spark! is a mesmerising street theatre show that combines high impact drumming with kaleidoscopic lighting design. The show is extremely adaptable and incorporates static set-pieces, parading between sites and audience interaction.

Musical Ruth – Ready for the festive season, Musical Ruth's piano is chock-a-block with all your favourite Christmas songs. Crazy dance routines, hilarious facial contortions and mad sound effects are all mixed up with oodles of festive cheer. Special versions of Jingle Bells, Little Donkey and Mistletoe and Wine are just some of the Christmas songs performed by Sister Ruth, the madcap nun.

Mariachi Band - Performing a traditional Christmas repertoire featuring the likes of “Rocking Around The Xmas Tree”, “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” and “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, our awesome roving musicians take their Christmas themed entertainment up a gear by incorporating levely horns and Spanish guitar into the act. Wearing Mariachi suits and Santa beards or even full Santa costumes.
