Well, Well, Well!
Reading Walks Festival 2024
This 10 km circular walk starts out from near the end of the Pink 25 Bus route at Peppard, in the Chilterns countryside to the north of Reading. We follow historic paths, tracks and lanes through woods and fields to the villages and hamlets of Rotherfield Peppard, Gallowstree Common and Kingwood Common. There is plenty to discover along the way, including a Stoney Bottom, ornate public wells and their importance to local communities, an elephant in the woods, and a Unicorn! The route is undulating with 120m total ascent/descent (two short steep sections). No stiles.
