More detail
Starting from the Thee Guineas Pub at Reading Station we will cross the Thames by the footbridge and work our way up through Caversham via the flood plain, playing fields and parks with views over Caversham and Reading. Crossing into South Oxfordshire from Bugs Bottom we will climb up towards Chalkhouse Green before picking up the Kidmore End Road past the lovely Kidmore End House. The quiet lane takes us to Gallowstree Common where we enter extensive mixed woodland on the way to Kate's Cottage. A long curving bridlepath takes us through the Wyfold Court estate before descending into the lovely wooded valley between Rotherfield Peppard and Peppard.
