A nostalgic walk as we retrace the 1984 RAG Float Parade route  - a vibrant celebration of creativity, community and charity. Raising and Giving (RAG) has long been at the heart of Reading Students Union's fundraising spirit. On this walk, we'll pause at key points along the parade route to revisit the energy excitement of past RAG parades through photographs, jokes and stories/memories from the era.

About the walk leader
Terry's Reading Walkabouts have  developed over 20 themed walks of Reading, covering the history, culture, events and people of the town in a fun & entertaining way. Terry collects for Reading charities - this year Dingley Promise & Green Health. 

Getting there
Start & finish at The Museum of English Rural Life. Local bus stops at Crown Place Bus Stop on Kendrick Road (served by Claret 21/21a) and Royal Berkshire Hospital on Addington Road (served by Leopard 3, 10, Silver 9, or Claret 22).
