For anyone interested in South America – or more generally in other cultures – Mariana Swann’s Beautiful Bolivia - its long history and its amazing culture will be a treat. Mariana, a popular local speaker and writer, was born and raised in Bolivia and will speak about her country's rich culture, history and geography, and also about the role it has played in the world's history.
Aged 20 Mariana travelled from Bolivia to Europe to study languages, married an Englishman and has lived in England for over 40 years. She has an MA in creative writing and in 2016 published ‘Pachamama’, a book about what happened to her family in Bolivia across three generations – the story not only of a family but of Bolivia itself.
