Stitch and Flip Christmas Trees
14th November, 10:30 to 13:30
In this workshop, we will turn fabric strips, wadding and buttons into fun Christmas decorations.
We will use a simple stitch and flip quilting technique, then create little trees that can stand on their own by filling with stuffing and then decorating with buttons to give the appearance of decorated christmas trees.
In this workshop you will learn:
*The stitch and flip quilting technique,
*How to make “frankenbatting”,
*How to arrange, and pick fabric,
*How to use zig zag stitch to attach trims,
*How to create a self supporting 3-dimensional form,
*How to add buttons.
Suitable for beginners who can sew in a straight line; however, the technique has lots of scope to interest crafters.
(If in doubt, enquire!)
This workshop will be led by Kate Sandford from Kate Must Sew.
