Following a series of sold-out performances in London, Barbershop Uncut Stories returns with a powerful and unforgettable theatre experience that combines storytelling and heartfelt moments to spark vital conversations about health, based on real lived experiences. Set in a busy local barbershop, it follows a group of friends whose everyday conversations about football, family and relationships slowly uncover something far more important.

With warmth and unforgettable storytelling, the play explores conversations about prostate cancer, which affects 1 in 4 Black men and why talking openly could help save lives. Yet conversations about men's health often remain silenced by stigma, fear, and mistrust. Through theatre, Barbershop Uncut Stories seeks to break that silence, educate communities, and encourage life-saving conversations.

About Barbershop Uncut Stories

Barbershop Uncut Stories is an innovative Creative Health production using theatre to engage communities in conversations about cancer awareness and early diagnosis.

By combining authentic storytelling with expert health information, the production helps break down stigma, challenge myths and empowers people to take action for themselves, their families and their communities.

It is created by Lorna Jones, Director of C & Hair CIC, written and directed by BAFTA-winner, Rochelle Newman and produced by New Duke Films. Building on the success of previous acclaimed theatre performances, this latest production brings fresh stories and perspectives to the stage.
